Synecdoche, New York

Synecdoche New York is a movie that makes you think for weeks after watching. It is also a movie that you tend to forget as the taste of its bitterness grows old. It is an illogical, rational yet emotional movie, full of sequences that confound and envelopes the audience with ineffable feelings.

Each absurd scene in the movie follows from irrational and quickening time. Nothing is out of place. Together, they form and present a natural and realistic representation of life.

Try to keep in mind that the audience watching Caden Cotard descend into miserable, pitiable, and unrecognizable versions of himself thinks they are merely in the position of an observer. But the tragedy is that we know that you, the young audience will end up in this very place of desolation.
